Women killed, 9 wounded in indian firing on LOC in POK

Islamabad : ioktimes : Pakistan on Tuesday stated that a women was killed and nine others injured in “ruthless” Indian firing throughout the Line of Control (LoC) in its administered part of Kashmir.

The target on the last day of 2018 was Athmuqam, placed some 80 kilometres northeast of state capital Muzaffarabad, said dawn news.

“First they [Indians] fired some shells on Pakistan military posts, but suddenly they began targeting civilian installations with mortar shells, ” Akhtar Ayub, an Athmuqam based disaster risk management officer, said while quoting with Media.

The shelling stopped after an hour however left a 27-year-old lady dead and 9 others wounded, Ayub mentioned.

He identified the deceased as Asiya Bibi.
