Your humanity can persuade you to beat highly unfavorable stipulations, an instance of which happened lately when three younger guys from southern Kashmir traveled a hundred and twenty kilometers to donate blood and save a life.
On the freezing night of December 30, Mushtaq Ahmed of Avengound village in Pulwama district got a Whatsapp message on his “J&k blood donors” group to save a life in danger more than 120 Kms far from his residence.
“It used to be round 7pm when I got message via Whatsapp group that a person in his 30s was once in urgent need of blood. I rang up my friend who lives in Batmaran Shopian which is sixteen Kms further faraway from my residence,” Ahmad, a college student said.
“He fortunately agreed to accompany me along with his cousin. We left after few hours and travelled more than 120 Kms to Baramulla district hospital for this noble act.”
The significantly unwell patient needed six points of blood but simplest three were only three points available, the WhatsApp message had acknowledged, and plenty of registered donors have been unable to reach the medical institution.
One among the trio, Gowher Ahmed from Batmaran Shopian had to attend up for an exam the next day.
“Exams come and go but life as soon as misplaced are not able to be introduced back, many insisted to me that I will have to no longer go however i didn’t agree,” stated Gowher, a college student.”
“In a position like Kashmir where we are facing turmoil on every day foundation, if we can’t stand for each other who else will? It was once my first blood donation and that i felt so just right about it.”
Gowher’s cousin, Arshid Ahmed also accompanied the two friends, and trio reached back to their houses at 3 am on December 31 after making the blood donation in Baramulla.
“We donated one point each & left all six points of blood arranged,” Arshid said.
A lot of reward was showered on the trio over the social media, including with the aid of the top police officer, Basnat Rath who is among the administrators of the Whatsapp group “J&k Blood donors” and is very active on social media structures regarding blood donation.
“What is Selfless carrier? A stranger needs blood in Baramulla. A pupil wants to donate. He is in Pulwama right now. Round a hundred Kms away. Minus four degree Celsius. It’s 7:30 PM. He has began for Baramulla right now, He has an examination on next day,” Rath wrote on his twitter account.
