Pulwama : ioktimes : At least six civilians were injured in clashes with the government forces in Tral township of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
Excessive clashes erupted in several area of Tral together with the main town quickly after a gunfight broke out between the militants and the forces in Gulshanpora area at today morning.
Quoting sources, said that forces fired pellets on the protesters in Batagund village of Tral, resulting into minor pellet injuries to as a minimum six of them.
He said that clashes erupted after the youth came out of their homes and Pelted stones on the forces heading close to the gunfight site in Gulshanpora.
Reports mentioned that extreme clashes had been going on near bus stand in Tral town. They said that the forces resorted to aerial firing to disperse the protesters.
A complete shutdown is being observed within the area.
Internet service was also suspended in the area soon after the gunfight broke out in Gulshanpora.
Police mentioned that the gunfight ensued after the forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation in a forest area in Gulshanpora today morning.
