Srinagar : Army on Thursday morning claimed to have defused an IED planted near Garoora village on Bandipora-Srinagar highway in north Kashmir.
Reports stated that the IED was noticed by way of a street opening occasion of Army’s 13 RR unit round 8am.
Reports also stated the IED was planted inside an iron container on the roadside.
He mentioned that road opening party of Army’s 13 RR unit and Explosive Detective dog (ED canine) detected the suspicious object.
“The IED was later defused by means of police’s bomb disposal squad, ” he mentioned.
The visitors movement was halted on Bandipora-Srinagar highway till the IED was defused.
