Pulwama : ioktimes : Government forces on Saturday resorted to aerial firing after youth tried to march towards the encounter site in Aripal village of Tral area of South kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Quoting ioktimes on Phone, an eyewitness said, Thousands of People from adjoining areas tried to march towards the gunfight site in Aripal, tral after rumours of Killing of Hizbul Top Most Commander Hammad Khan spread in the area.
“Shouting Pro-freedom slogans thousands of Youth from adjoining villages of seer, Gulshanpora, Luraw, handura and pastuna tried to march towards the gunfight site in Aripal, However, forces resorted to aerial firing to disperse the protesters” he said.
An official quoting ioktimes said, that the operation is in final stage and we are searching for Militant casualties at the encounter site which broke out after forces launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Aripal village of Tral following inputs about the presence of militants there.
Earlier sources said, One Militant and a CRPF Personnel were killed in the gunfight.
An eyewitness said, the exchange of fire stopped few hours ago after the forces set ablaze the house in which Militants were hiding.
Internet services were also blocked in entire Pulwama district following the gunfight.
