140 militants killed by forces in J&K between June-Dec 2018: Govt

Delhi : ioktimes : Almost a hundred and forty militants have been killed through government forces in Jammu and Kashmir between June and December 2018 for the period of which 426 stone pelting incidents had been additionally reported within the state, Union minister Hansraj Ahir mentioned Wednesday.

Replying to a written query in Rajya Sabha, he said one hundred forty militants were killed from June 25 to December 5, 2018 within the state, while 119 militants violence took situation in the course of the interval.

The minister of state for home stated 426 stone pelting incidents took place in Jammu and Kashmir within the stated period where 34 civilians have been injured.

As many as 171 forces personnel were killed even as combating with militants in Kashmir and other parts of the country, guarding borders or serving their responsibility in 2016, 167 troops had been killed in 2017 and 163 personnel in 2018 (till November) he said.

But according to human rights violations report, More than 554 stone Pelting incidents took Place with in the state during the period he stated and More than 700 Civilians were injured.

As per the recent reports, 144 civilians have been killed in clashes during the period which he didn’t mention.
